[I have no idea where to put this, so mods, please don't get mad. I really do think this is a peice of art that should be shared, like in normal photography. I did not score this, nore do I know the person who did, but I do not take credit for it. Just for the photo I took of it.]
Ahh, middle school band class. You sit down, teacher passes out new music..... their hand raises, the children lift up their instruments, and turn their papers over.
Cue in unison : "WHAT. THE. FUCK."
As I was cleaning my room, I stumbled upon this treasured peice of my childhood. For days this single slip of paper had the entire bandroom erupting in fits of giggles, and I can safely say it still makes me laugh to this very day. This, my friends. THIS is artwork.
So share it with your band-geek friends! And watch out for that F-15 flying overhead.
oh god, I'd love to have our director hand this out the first day of camp next year and be all like "FRESHMEN. IF YOU WANT TO MARCH, YOU HAVE A WEEK TO PLAY THIS PERFECTLY."
This is amazing!!
Favorite parts:
"cresc. or not"
"Dial 911"
"gradually become agitated"
"hard tymp mallet on baritone's head"
"check fly then turn and bow"
I love music like this. It's the best.
We found one called Death March Overture.
It's fantastic.
